Summary
Aether has never felt comfortable being an alpha. For him, it was just a word on his medical paperwork that he tried his hardest to ignore. Sure, it was part of who he was, but that didn't mean he had to like it. So instead, he decided to live as a beta. It was easier for him and left him living a more comfortable life. No one tried to force him to choose a mate and settle down like they would if he lived as an alpha.
Meeting an alpha who caught his attention though, an alpha who's scent he was immediately attracted to, for the first time Aether wasn't sure if living as a beta was the right choice. What if there was a third option though? And what if Xiao wanted that third option for him just as much as he himself did?
