Summary
What if Viserys and Alicent are allowed to return to where it began in their lifetimes? Alicent survived to know all of her descendants, save her granddaughter, perished in the conflict. Wouldn’t she want to save all if possible? What of Viserys, if he knew what his legacy truly was, would he rise to be the dragon the throne demands him to be, to see his daughter crowned and his legacy secured without bloodshed?
And what of a couple, with new, shared purpose? Can they learn to see past their pasts, and forge a different path together? One that saves their line together, and defies the ambitions of others? Can such a couple become partners in truth and perhaps, lovers in earnest?

Summary
Viserys, tired of watching his wife and daughter tear each other apart, had made one impulsive decision that night in Driftmark.
A decision that was made in anger.
And yet, somehow, that single reckless decree had changed everything.
Viserys Targaryen had meant only to mend the rift within his family.
He had not realized that, by tying Jacaerys Velaryon and Helaena Targaryen together in holy matrimony, he might have just saved an entire realm.
