Il commence à avoir l'impression que les épées se livrent à une étreinte corporelle, que leur bruit de métal se répète encore et encore semblable à un rythme sensuel et hypnotique. Malgré la violence, il interprète chaque coup de lame comme une pénétration charnelle, comme des coups de hanches qui montent et descendent brutalement. D'une certaine manière, Séphiroth perçoit cette confrontation sanguinaire comme une sorte de crise passionnelle et intime, empli de désir et d'érotisme. À quoi pense-t-il ?
