Gonta takes a big, obvious breath. Then bows low, pulling his hands from behind his back, and suddenly Kaito’s staring at a bouquet full of red roses.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Momota-kun! Please accept Gonta’s confession!”
Oh, god.
Kaito feels colour rising to his cheeks, suddenly much more lightheaded than he’d been facing Kirumi or Miu. He braces himself with a hand on his desk while the other trembles, fingers extended as though to accept the roses, in front of him. Gonta is impressive as always, able to hold a bowing position without even twitching. The opposite of how Kaito feels, really, because he’s pretty sure his knees are about to give out from under him.
“It’s Valentine’s Day?” Kaito is eventually able to choke out.

Kaito has a lot of love to give. His classmates have a lot of love to give him in exchange, this Valentine's Day. Poor guy can't catch a break.

Mostly about letting people into your life and letting them change your way of life: how caring for others can ultimately help you care for yourself.
