While Luz and Amity were hanging out in their usual favorite spot down by the creek, they suddenly bump into Hunter, who was running away from home- firmly intent on getting away from his abusive foster uncle, Belos. Badly injured (and perhaps something even more than that), he decidedly seeks help from the only person he's ever known: Willow Park.
Or, an alternate universe Huntlow fic where Hunter's mental health spirals down to a new low. He hits a sudden and eye-opening realization concerning the abuse he has endured. The majority of the plot and conflict revolves around that, if it wasn't so redundant.

OR: Willow finds out she's Hunter's Soulmate when he gets an injured leg, but he had discussed his dislike for soulmates. So, she decides to keep it a secret, she would hide every wince of pain if that meant Hunter wouldn't have to be bound to someone like her.
