"The Avengers Assemble alarm blared from loudspeakers throughout the tower. The alarm was audible through the walls, but where there would normally be an alarm in the elevator it was quiet except for their harsh breathing.
Sam looked over from his cautious crouch and reached for T'Challa, who was encased in his Panther habit, probably out of instinct. "Hey, you okay?"
The mask slid down to reveal his face, eyes wide, but somehow still calm. "Yes, are you?"
... He couldn't keep his voice from shaking slightly when he responded. "Yeah, I'm okay. JARVIS, buddy, what the fuck just happened?"
Addressing the air as usual didn't seem to work, the usual calm British accent didn't respond."OR Sam Wilson gets stuck in an elevator with his secret crush, the Prince of Wakanda. Anything could happen. But he'll probably just end up taking a nap.
Because every ship needs a 'stuck in the elevator' story, and if I have to write it myself so be it.
