Summary
I wanted to create an S4 Fix-It Fic, but as Kaylee said in Firefly, "Sometimes a thing gets too broke to fix." So I am replacing it all instead. Knowing me, it will be long to fix what the (semi-homophobic) CW producers/writers of Supergirl broke so gradually.
Here, Supergirl will be the center of her own show. Here, her sister will be empowered to find love with actual chemistry. Here, people will be free to be as gay/fabulous as they need to be. And the characters who are supposed to be gay will actually be Queer As Fuck.
Since I started writing this on Feb. 19, 2020, and 100 pages later, we were in Pandemic 2020 Lockdown, the season's big bad will be Covid-19. And since I started it as if it were a regular season, I began in a mythic June (after the events in my short fic “Metropolis Pride”) and the virus cut our heroes off at the end of fall semester instead of spring. So it won't be all that accurate, but who cares? It's a SuperCorp fanfic.
So put on your black tacticals, pack your sparkly pink bowties (and other bits of interest) and let us get (eventually) to the church on time for a *SuperCorp wedding*.

Summary
A few years back, Maxwell Lord took pink Kryptonite and seeded the clouds with it, making some people temporarily gay and others permanently LGBTQ+. Then Covid-19 happened, retriggering the change in some people's genes, including people like Cat Grant, Lillian Luthor, and James Olsen. But then Max had a lab accident and found himself gay and wasn't happy about it.
In typical Max Lord fashion, in his attempt to "fix" this "problem," he makes the world worse for everybody; by taking the gay away, he disempowers people who were supposed to be heroes in his timeline. Fortunately, the Legends of Tomorrow swoop in to salvage the situation and bring back the fabulousness that is our favorite heroes' real superpower. Eventually.

Anne Lister, historical 19th-century British lesbian diarist and traveler, died at the age of 49 at the edge of the Black Sea, a few hundred miles from what in her time was Ukraine, and what, 6000 years before her time, had been Scythia. No one in the Old Guard thought this was a coincidence.
This is a fairy tale of blood, blades, bullets and journal pages. It is the story of two women and three men who can’t die. Mostly. Their names are Andy, Nicky, Joe, Sebastien and Anne. For a long time, there was just Andy. Then the others came along. Anne is new. And she has no idea how far her travels are about to take her.

Retelling our first season (series) of Gentleman Jack (BBC/HBO) in poetry, mostly free verse written in the two-three months after the series began. I try to keep the drama and humor while also expanding on the points of view so that secondary characters get to react to the Ann(e)s.
I intend to post three days a week--MWF--which should keep us all going until just before Season (Series) Two (finally) starts. (Also, I'm American, so if I slip up, let me know, and if my 'take' on these characters doesn't align with yours, I'm sorry. I am putting this out there as what my watching of the show several times and reading of at least six of the books leads me to thnk.)
I welcome polite commentary, even--and perhaps especially--if you disagree on my readings/viewings of characters. Key word: polite.
In the end we must ask ourselves, "In this situation, given who I am and the world as it is, What Would Anne Lister Do?" (WWALD)

A Harry Potter AU with the folks from our favorite DC and Marvel TV Shows. I don't know where this is going, but once I came up with the title in the comments of Implications of Compulsive Heteronormativity and the Superhero Backlash in conversation with piecesofyourheart, I couldn't let it go without writing it.
Major ships are both followed and abandoned as I just keep following the golden thread and hoping it all works out in the end. But it should be gay and sweet and safe for work.

Lena had always attended Metropolis Pride and when she became CEO of LuthorCorp, she had immediately signed on as a sponsor and walked with her LBGTQ+ employees behind a banner urging inclusivity in science and life. After Lois and Clark's wedding in Metropolis, the Superfriends decided to stick around for the festivities. (Several writers have inspired me on this one, including SapphicScholar and NerdsbianHokie. Thanks abound.)
I've been working on this while I've been trying to figure out how to end my fix-it fic for Season 3, which is taking forever...
Also, a note on the Golden Thread: When I originally started thinking about this fic, I had a few ideas about the chapter titles: Pride, Shame, Blame, Guilt, Displacement, Lost and Found. Yeah, the universe really wasn't interested in that..

This is my fixing-Season-Three-as-It-Happens fic. A few notes.
Although I am a Sanvers-Forever Girl, the things I wrote in my Season-Two fix-it fic, "The Implications of Your Heartbreak," still stand, which means that Agent Vasquez stepped in when Maggie initially rejected Alex. I tried really hard to get Sanvers together but ended up instead with Dansquez being unbreakable. (Sorry, not sorry.)
Also, in this piece Mon-Ew will not appear, because there is absolutely no reason to bring him back.
These two things will skew this fic away from the canon stuff we already see coming (like Lames replacing SuperCorp). But you can trust the FlyingPigPoet to give you the gay-ass story you need as opposed to the heteronormative story the CW producers want to give you. As my friend YesBothWays says, I am doing the Lord's work here. You're welcome.
