There was another student here.
Tom recognized him vaguely—while transfer students were not necessarily uncommon due to the war, they were rare enough to at least make an impression. This particular transfer student was in his year, sorted into Ravenclaw after an impressively long hat stall. He looked like he might be descended from the Potter line, but he did not share the surname so his lineage was of no particular interest to Tom. Nothing about him was of particular interest to Tom, in fact, and yet here he stood, holding the book that Tom had come here to find.
It would be a good time to turn away. The Restricted Section was restricted for a reason—only books documenting extremely dangerous or extremely advanced magic were stored here.
Tom’s feet, however, suddenly felt as if they were made of lead. It wasn’t magic keeping him tied down, but something far more mysterious like curiosity or even fate. In any case, the delay was all it took for the Ravenclaw to lift his chin and meet Tom’s eyes.
This Ravenclaw, Tom realized, had eyes as blindingly green as the Killing Curse.

Summary
It's been over five years since Voldemort's defeat when Harry Potter gets pushed through a portal and falls into the Great Hall of Hogwarts. This wouldn't be a problem, exactly, except it's his parents' Hogwarts instead of his own. Thankfully, Hermione and Ron aren't about to let him face this newest form of trouble by himself. Even more fortunately, Hermione says they're in a different dimension entirely.

Summary
Ron knows who he is: the sixth of the seven Weasley siblings. Hogwarts, for him, was inevitable. Gryffindor assumed. He knows his wand is second hand, and his rat, and his robes third, books fourth or fifth or so, and he knows the Professors are going to call him Fred or George or Percy or Charlie or Bill. He knows that most everyone can take one look at him and see all of that. And in some ways, it makes it easier, to never have to prove anything.
The rest of the world, though, it's not so certain. The World Cup was the best day of Ron's life, until the horrible night that followed. Azkaban was supposed to keep history locked up tight, until Sirius Black escaped. Hogwarts was supposed to be the most amazing experience, until Snape started assigning homework. And Harry Potter—
But who is Ron kidding? He should just keep his head down, stick with Seamus and Dean, and be glad he knows who he is, at least.
