Summary
Eddie almost dies a virgin, which is mortifying. He’s rescued from certain death by Steve Harrington, which is infinitely worse. King Steve, who is not actually a douche, who is stalwart and brave and a whole lot hairier than he was last summer, carries Eddie’s ravaged body out of the Upside Down despite his own injuries. Eddie, clinging to consciousness by the edge of his fingernails, doesn’t even get to enjoy it.
It’s the summer of 1986. Eddie has some new scars, some new friends, and the same old embarrassing crush on Steve Harrington. When Steve gets curious about gay sex, who in all of Hawkins is better equipped to teach him?

“I’m hallucinating,” Robin says. She’s not worked up, not yet, but she sounds like she’s thinking about it. “You said I wouldn’t, but I’m hallucinating.”
“Weed doesn’t do that,” Steve says, frowning at her. “Why would you be hallucinating?”
Robin scoffs. “Oh, so you can see Bigfoot over there too?”
She gestures towards the tree line. Steve looks over, expecting to see— he doesn’t know what. A weird shadow. Maybe a large dog.
Bigfoot stares back at him, eyes gleaming red.
Or: Eddie comes back. Steve cleans him up, not very tenderly.

“Do you think kissing a guy feels different?” he asks Eddie, who’s leaning back against the wall, hugging one knee to his chest. His toes are wedged under Steve’s arm, because Eddie’s bed is actually pretty small. Steve doesn’t mind.
“Harrington,” Eddie says pleasantly, “what the hell are you talking about?”
“I’ve never kissed a guy,” Steve says, frowning as he thinks about it. “Obviously. But I’ve kissed a lot of girls. And, you know, it’s a little different every time, right? But what if— what if kissing a guy is, you know. More different?”
Eddie laughs. “That’s it, man,” he says, plucking the joint from between Steve’s fingers. “No more weed for you. You’re cut off.”
Steve pouts, crossing his arms. It feels kinda silly when he’s lying on his back. “Hey, come on!” he says. “I mean, I want to know!”
Steve learns a thing or two, mostly without noticing. Eddie’s just along for the ride.

Vecna dies. So does Eddie. The world doesn't split open. In the aftermath, Steve goes home to an empty house.
Well. Almost empty.
Steve sighs, hanging his head. One more thing. Then he can go to bed.
The dirty towel can wait until later. He tosses it towards the bathtub without looking and turns to the sink, grabbing his toothbrush and toothpaste. When he looks in the mirror, Eddie’s staring back at him.

Summary
The skies open about five minutes after Jason leaves her by the side of the road. Chrissy hadn’t thought to bring a raincoat to school this morning, trusting Jason and his Jeep to keep her dry. She’s regretting it now. She pulls her backpack off and clutches it to her chest, tucking the edges of her sweater over it in hopes of keeping her homework from disintegrating.
The rest of her is a lost cause, she can already tell. The sleeves of her uniform sweater are soaked through, shoes squelching with each step. Her hair is plastered to her head, rivulets of water running down her cheeks, ruining her makeup and mixing with the tears she can’t seem to curb.
Chrissy makes a choice. Eddie won’t know what hit him.
