    “Yes,” Elias says simply. “For being so good.”

    One of Elias’ hands is cupping the side of Jon’s face. Almost idly, his thumb moves to stroke Jon’s lower lip. It’s so startling that it knocks what Jon had been about to say right out of his head, his mouth open slightly in preparation to speak.

    “What…” he manages to say after a long moment. He feels Elias’ thumb on his lip as he speaks.

    “What’s the reward?”

    Elias smiles, sharp and eager.
