   Part 3 of my Genshin Apocalypse AU series!

   After a month out on the desolate roads, Kaveh and Alhaitham stumble upon a shelter that seems too good to be true. The inhabitants don’t ask anything of them in return for letting them stay, and they get food, warmth and companionship as a bonus. Somehow, it doesn’t feel fair to take it all for granted, so acts of service become their main currency, and protection a close second.

   When failure to deliver starts to creep up on them as a third, the price to pay suddenly becomes much graver than either of them could have imagined.
