Hermione Granger has experimented with time travel before. The time turner in third year was a mess, and she had promised herself that she would never meddle with time again. But with the war having stolen away her two best friends, and the world turning itself on its head, she is about to break that promise.
The ritual was supposed to be simple. It would send her back to her younger body so she could use her knowledge to change the outcome of not only what had happened to her friends, but to steal away all of Tom Riddle's little victories and drive him out much sooner. Except, she ended up much further back than she expected to. And more specifically? It dumped a fourteen year old Hermione Granger in 1974. And even more specifically, asleep on the Hogwarts Express. Above her though, is a woman she's only ever seen in pictures. Because standing above Hermione looking quite concerned is a fourteen year old Lily Evans Potter, about to enter her fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She's really bollocksed things up now.
