Summary
Adam craved a challenge which most of his classes just couldn't provide. Glancing at the enthralled faces of his classmates, eagerly taking notes for the class, Adam felt an emotion he couldn't quite describe. He didn't understand his classmates at all. They treated each subject like precious knowledge despite never learning anything new. Every year was the exact same as the last. Basic Health, Emotional Management, Mental Health, Humanitarianism. The topics stayed the same since middle school, and even then, it wasn't all too different from elementary school either, just more advanced wording.
. . .Adam Opened the lid to his desk, inside sat a large book. The book was maybe an inch thick with the dimensions of printer paper. On top of the book there was a yellow sticky note that read “Time to give you a real education. Don't let anyone see you have this. Not even your parents. -J” The cover read, “MATH 1A-2C.” Math. Adam remembered math. He remembered learning addition and subtraction in first and second grade and multiplication and division in third grade. However, for whatever reason, they stopped teaching math past fourth grade. Back then he had hated math class and was glad to be rid of it. But now…
