He didn’t mean to shout. Honest to goodness.
He got into another one of many fights with his mom, she yelled about stupid shit. How he was ‘ungrateful’, ‘too young to understand’, how all his problems were from being on the internet.
With all the incessant fighting he just couldn’t fall asleep, the adrenaline boost he got from arguments like that kept his blood pumping well into the night. He fell into a fitful sleep around 1 and was jolted awake by his alarm at 5.
When he woke up he knew in his gut it would be a particularly bad day, and, unfortunately he wasn’t wrong.
