Regulus takes three steps to get to the end of the cliff. His head is spinning so much that he’s going to faint. His nose is running, his face must look disgusting. It’s covered in tears and snot. At least the water will wash most of it off.
The birds chirp in the background. This is not a bad day for it to end. The Sun says its farewells to Regulus. It can exist without him.
