Izuku shot up from his slumber, sweat beading at the base of his neck and hairline. The room was silent save for the frantic pacing of his breath and the rain beating against his window. His pulse was racing, blood making its presence known in his ears. What was he even scared of? A dream? As stupid as it sounded, it was true and Izuku hated it. Hated being scared of a figment of his imagination. Hated being scared of something that wasn't real?Blood, fire, heat and pain. That wasn't real? That didn't happen? You weren't burned, you weren't hurt that night? Was that night a 'figment of your imagination' too?
