    That's how long Ghost had been declared M.I.A. for.

    Soap had been counting every single day, marking each additional day in his notes with a growing ache in his heart.

    His disappearance had hit Soap hard.

    Then, he got wind of news that they found him.

    Only, they found him in a completely feral state. And in rut, which meant he was basically out of his mind.

    When some of the doctors suggested that omega pheromones might help make the process smoother, Soap didn't hesitate in volunteering.

    Ghost watches it happen, drunk off his arse, but well aware he should stop Soap from raising the glass to his lips again. The man who did it either has some massive fucking balls, or he's plain stupid. But he's right in assuming that forcing Soap into anything would leave him bruised and broken, and that's saying nothing of what Ghost would do to him if he found out.

    The roofie makes sense from that perspective.

    Soap gets roofied, Ghost takes advantage of the opportunity.

    Ghost falls first; the moment Soap steps onto the tarmac and saves him a seat. Soap arguably falls harder, hitting every awkward branch on the way down. After several instances of walking in on Ghost in various states of undress, he can no longer deny his attraction- or Ghost's.

    But they can't act on their feelings, or on their inner alpha and omega instincts. Or at least... they shouldn't.
