Kei locked eyes with the tattoo artist, and his heart about dropped out of his chest. The guy standing before him by all accounts should have been intimidating, with his full sleeves of tattoos and countless piercings, yet Kei could only marvel at how... pretty he was. The artist’s long brown hair was half up, revealing at least four piercings on each ear, starkly contrasting his soft features. He looked a little bewildered as he awkwardly waved to Kei.

Kei’s words were biting and cruel, and he knew Tadashi didn’t deserve them, but Kei did. He needed to end this. It was the only way to protect themselves. It was the only way to protect Tadashi. Kei tried to ignore how Tadashi’s face contorted, how he looked almost physically hurt, his mouth drawn into a tight line. All Kei wanted to do was kiss that expression away, to make this better somehow. But he knew it was a mistake.

“Yachi, are you sure this is a good idea?” Tadashi anxiously adjusted his button-down, trying his damndest to straighten out the wrinkles that just refused to cooperate.
“I’m absolutely, completely positive. I think you guys will click, he seemed really excited about this date!”
Tadashi sighed with relief.
“Or at least as excited as he can be,” Yachi muttered under her breath.
