Wei Ying runs a hand unthinkingly over Lan Wangji’s tail, and Lan Wangji shudders, scales flushing.
“You don’t have to walk to be on land,” he says, softly. “If you wanted, you could stay here with me, always.”
Lan Wangji’s breath hitches. This close, he can see right into Wei Ying’s eyes. There he is, reflected in them: starry and hot, clear as twilight.
“No.”

The yaksha nodded thoughtfully. Finally, it delivered the verdict with aplomb: “You’re not broken.”
“No?!” Nezha shot up.
“You grew up too fast. Things are just a little wonky; you have to get used to dealing with your…” The yaksha made a vague gesture at all that. “… Biology. Listen, kid. I assure you it’s all quite standard.”
“How do I do that?” He would do almost anything to get back to normal. The yaksha was proving to be far more knowledgeable than he’d expected; hope filled Nezha in an almost painful squeeze.
The yaksha spread its thick, fleshy lips in a leer. “You have to mate with the little dragon beauty."
Nezha deals with his changing body. Things are... complicated.

Summary
Teddy is a mutant, just like his boyfriend. At least, that's what he thinks until one night he wakes up to find a freshly laid egg in his bed. Of course this happens while Billy is out on a mystical adventure with Dr. Strange, because it's not enough that one of them gets a very strange surprise.
Tony may enjoy the idea of building an AI-run incubator and Erik's powers may be useful for knitting for the great-grandbaby, but in the end it's Teddy and Billy who have to do the most preparation. And worrying. Teddy isn't sure he can worry quite enough.
At least he can stop that once the hatchling is there, right?

Eli strikes Billy as the kind of guy that would glare at him for pulling his phone out at the library, but other than that (and the fact that Nate and him can’t seem to see eye to eye about anything at all), he looks pretty cool. Like the kind of guy he’d want to be superhero buddies with.
Oh Jeez, ‘superhero buddies’, he’s so lame. God, everyone’s gonna notice him being an absolute dork. He’s gonna get kicked off the team for being a total nerd.
