Gerri is in a bind, and Roman volunteers to be her knight in shining armor.
“Hey, Gerri, it’s going to be okay. Right? That little girl is coming now whether you get there in time or not. By the end of the day, you’re going to hold her in your arms and kiss her little forehead and it’s not going to matter what time you arrived at the hospital.”
Roman hopes this is at least somewhat soothing to hear, and not just an annoying and unwanted pep talk. But from the way Gerri gazes at him curiously, like she never expected him to be capable of providing such comfort, he knows he said the right thing.

Summary

A fucking doting, adoring boy toy of your dreams. Baird won't know what to do with himself with me all over you."
