“Fuck,” Yuu hisses. He stumbles through the woods blindly, the only light available to him the beam of a dying flashlight Kimizuki had found. “Shit. Fuck. MIKA!”
He should’ve noticed. He should’ve gone looking for Mika earlier.

He thought back to Nagoya. It was hard not to. The air was dry there, too, with the very same smell of salt. Salt, sulfur, steel. Hundreds of hearts beating in fear, like a cacophony that assaulted only him. Maybe he was weak after all. Hell, if his own heart could still beat, he was sure it would’ve joined the chorus.
Mikaela didn’t feel much. But when he did, it was always for the same reason.

Aki leaned in closer, their breaths mingling, air twirling around air and it felt like kissing, like something physical as the warmth of Aki’s mouth lingered achingly close to Angel’s parted lips.
”Yes,” Aki said finally, leaning closer still, as close as they’d ever be able to get. ”Yes, let’s try it.”
Angel smiled. Humans were so easily corrupted, he could almost laugh at how effortlessly Aki agreed to something so horrific and grotesque.
