Tim Drake was reluctantly getting back into his education, reaching for a business degree he couldn't care less about, when an unfortunate situation pushes him and a classmate he may or may not have been daydreaming about together.
Danny Fenton was trying his best to start a new life in Gotham after escaping his parents, even managing to enroll in a business course at Gotham U. If only Gotham had less supervillains, because he was getting real tired of his classes being interrupted. At least he managed to befriend the local vigilante he had seen grappling around his neighborhood. And at least said vigilante was hot, and possibly into him too.

Summary
After Ellie receded back into her core, Danny took up the responsibility of looking after her. When she reforms as an 8 year old, he continues this responsibility, and they move out of Amity to start a new life.
Ellie is starting a new school, Phantom is a stable member on the Justice League and Danny is finally content with his (half) life.When monsters of his past rear their ugly heads once more, Danny must protect what is most important to him, and make sure history doesn't repeat itself.

Danny would like to say for the record that it was not his fault.
In fact, Danny would say that it was entirely Clockwork's fault. After all, he wouldn't even be in this situation if it wasn't for that cryptic time god.
But what was his fault was the fact that he kept helping.
He kept taking the cash from the assholes messing with the residents who lived in the area (and damn there were a lot of assholes near where he lived). He kept accepting their offers of food. So because of this new routine that kept him able to afford to rent out his shitty (and possibly illegal) apartment and the hunger pangs sufficiently satisfied, rumors grew.
tldr; after Clockwork dropped of Danny in Gotham he tries to make the best out of the situation which includes helping out some people. Except along the way that led to rumors that he was an up-and-coming crime boss. A rumor he was largely unaware of.
