“That’s the line,” Tarn crooned, towering over Dominus even as he knelt to snap a finger off of Agent 113 — producing a hooked blade thin, but sizable, in his hand, hollow at the base where wires would split on a living mech. Beneath the slits of his mask, Dominus could sense Tarn’s optics were wide with mania, a sick glee one would grow to expect from Helex or Kaon first. The knife caught a dim light from the ceiling, its blade sharpened for this very purpose as Tarn brought it close to the plating on Dominus’ left shoulder. “The best screams always come from someone who’s said a tired line like that.”
