Summary
Written for the prompt:
Write a short excerpt from your character's perspective, describing one of their earliest memories to a close friend or partner.<><><><><><><><><>
The road was silent after dark, a drastic change that both Ragnvindr's found relief in. They stood in the worn dirt path at the bridge’s end, staring up at the towering stone walls.
“Diluc,” began Crepus, eyes locked on the gate that never lowered. “Tell me, why do cities build walls?”

Summary
"I ended up here by pure coincidence.”
“Coincidence,” Harumasa repeated, unimpressed. “You expect me to believe that?”
“What you believe does not concern me,” the thief said back with a casual shrug. “I was in the middle of... something, when a fissure that should have taken me somewhere else led me into this Hollow instead. The carrot data I had was updated as of this month, so the path must’ve shifted recently. Likely due to shared parent Hollow interference… Just a stroke of bad luck from my side."
Hugo gave the officer a smile. "So yes, in a way, I am lost. Not exactly a lost citizen, since you clearly hated that idea, but a lost man nonetheless.”
The mere idea of Hugo Vlad, leader of the Mockingbird Phantom Thieves Syndicate, got lost—that alone could make headlines.
It sounded absurd. This entire situation was absurd.

Summary
“They’re waiting for us—” Lycaon murmured, his breath heavy against Hugo’s skin, “—to meet them at Ballet Twins Road.”
“It’s a good thing we both decided to get supplies an hour before the actual meetup time, then. As always, your desire to meet societal expectations never fails to piss me off, Lycaon.”
How Hugo was saying that despite his fingers undoing the buttons of Lycaon’s pants was beyond Lycaon’s understanding. That said, they’ve already gotten this far—Lycaon didn’t want to cut it short.
First time was luck, the second time an accident, but a third time? Well, Lycaon was just asking for it. He didn't know that a single mission would so quickly derail the feelings in which he had kept locked away, all that he had hoped to forget began to wash back to the present day.

Summary
It had seemed like a good idea, originally suggested by Vivian, or at least, that is what Lycaon had been told. Now, Lycaon sat on the opposite end of a couch, with Hugo on the other end watching a movie recommended by the sibling managers. Vivian, or so Hugo had claimed, wanted a peaceful evening with just herself and the Proxies, without Hugo lurking in the background.
It was difficult to believe, however Hugo had said Vivian recommended that Hugo spend his evening with Lycaon, instead of moping about or scheming. And, for some reason, Hugo had agreed, and, for another reason, Lycaon had agreed to spend his evening with his ex-partner. Watching a movie.

Summary
Grandiose declarations and reality rarely meshed well – a fact that Hugo Vlad knows intimately, given his propensity for masks and theatrics. However, for all his schemes, he fails to account for every detail after the events involving the Ravenlock family: including that those precious allies he had come to know would worry after him.
Well-meaning concern brings Von Lycaon to his door. For a wellness check. This should be a bore.

Summary
“Drop your foolish façade, darling… I know you’ve been dying to kiss me.”
When an act of vengeance causes Lycaon to fear for his old friend’s life, he insists on becoming Mockingbird’s temporary ‘attendant’. But perhaps it was too naïve to think that he could re-enter his former partner’s life and simply… control himself.
After all… teasing his restraint has always been one of Hugo’s favourite pastimes.
