Summary
Damien looked out into the crowd with charming smile. It was the first night of Pop Show, and as the only student who's gotten a recruitment letter from the Berklee College of Music, it was a given all eyes were going to be on him. He was the valedictorian., the young man with a voice every choir director would dream for. A boy as popular as him only rarely graced the earth.
His song? A Whole New World, specifically the Aladdin's version. He was originally going to sing it with his girlfriend(?), Emma. However... they were going through a very rough patch. A very rough patch. Which, thankfully, hadn't interfered with focus on practice. Unfortunately, she has been ghosting him recently. He was left with scrambling to find someone to take her place in the performance.
As the second round of claps broke him out of his thoughts, Kevin wondered why Mr. O'Brien suggested HIM, of all people. Walking out into the stage was the greatest loser of the school.
