Summary
This project is a Chainsaw Man canon-divergent character study centered on Saki Hoshikawa, a Devil Hybrid bound to the Extinction Devil under a non-consensual, irrevocable contract. Rather than focusing on spectacle or power escalation, the story explores survival, coercion, and identity erosion—what it means to live when autonomy has already been forfeited.
Saki is intentionally written as a fragile, self-sabotaging protagonist who resists growth, resents her own endurance, and survives out of inertia rather than hope. The Extinction Devil is not a partner, mentor, or tragic ally, but an actively hostile presence: possessive, belittling, and incapable of relinquishing control. Their relationship is defined by ownership, not mutual benefit.
Across multiple arcs, the narrative moves between Public Safety brutality, Devil politics, distorted memory, and internal psychological warfare. While the setting includes familiar characters and institutions, the focus remains inward—on contracts as prisons, Devils as unbefriendable forces, and the quiet violence of being kept alive against one’s will.
