Eddie Munson looks up from his phone, and his dark eyes widen in surprise. “Jesus Christ.”
“Uh. Steve, actually,” Steve offers awkwardly, hand still raised where he’d knocked. As first impressions go, Steve’s sure he is decidedly not making a good one.
“I’m sorry,” Munson huffs, shaking his head a little. His curls shiver around his face and oh god he’s even sexier in person. Steve is never going to survive. “I just- wasn’t expecting…”
“A man?” Steve preempts, with the knowledge that he’s one of two male attendants who tend to work this flight, and that it’s usually all pencil skirts and heels. Not that he’d be particularly averse-
“No, no. Someone so- attractive.”

And when he draws away, Steve is laughing, like it’s genuinely funny. He’s got this light sheen of sweat over his skin, it’s glittering. His hair moves, he pushes it back with his hands as his hips sway in time with the rhythm like he’s commanding it and he moves like a siren; a creature who exists only to lure.
‘I’m everyone’s type,’ he tells Eddie, like he just knows it and pities Eddie for lying. ‘To fuck, at least.’

“You’ve found yourself some nice friends, kid.” Eddie stirs and his face screws up in unconscious pain, reminding Wayne almost of the way he looks when he’s concentrating, when he’s playing his guitar or coming up with ideas for that game he loves so much. “You gotta try not to move around too much, you got that? They had to patch you up pretty good, and once you wake up, I doubt you’re gonna want to go back under.”
“You get as much rest as you need, alright?” Wayne manages over the lump in his throat. “We’ll figure everything out when you’re back.”
or, Eddie lives, hospitals suck, and Wayne comes to realize he means just as much to his nephew as Eddie does to him.
