Summary
Connor stepped away from the canvas, his stress level raising higher as the paintbrush slipped from his hand. At the same time, the palette became unbalanced and joined the brush on the floor with a loud clatter. When he moved to pick them up, his eyes locked onto the paint that had splattered across the surface.
For a moment, he just stared at the blue paint, the rational side of him beginning to shut down.

In his peripheral, he could see the way she dangled her legs over the side of the roof just like he was, along with the large coat tucked in her arms. North was staring at him, studying him. It made him… anxious.
