She looked up, startled, glasses slightly crooked on her nose.
"Mike...?"“You think you’re clever? Playing the victim all the time, and now you're messing with Kara too?”
“I-I don’t know what you're talking about—”
Before she could finish, he grabbed the strap of her bag and shoved her back against the lockers. The metal echoed with a sharp clang. She gasped, pain lancing up her shoulder.
“I ask her out for months,” he hissed. “And now she’s got no time for anyone because of you?”
