Summary
Zuko thought his life couldn't get any more complicated. Sent on a mission to retrieve a living relic in the missing Avatar to restore his honor, he resigned himself to an endless search. When he's falsely accused of treason and sent on the run, he doesn't expect an assassination attempt. He also doesn't expect to be rescued from the ice of the North Pole by a waterbender.
Katara thought forming a treaty idea between the North and the South would be easier than this. The war effort is dragging on, and her father's warriors are running out of resources to help protect the Earth Kingdom's southern shores. However, Chief Arnook of the North has little interest in sending support outside the confines of his city--that is, unless Katara marries Hahn. Nursing a grumpy Earth Kingdom sailor back to health wasn't the plan.
When Zuko and Katara are forced to face the very serious threats that the war has placed upon them, they decide to use one another to face it together. Getting married was the easy part. Can they survive the secrets they keep while duty tries to tear them apart?
A mutually-consensual arranged marriage AU. Eventual smut. Eventual Gaang.
