    The first time they meet, the blonde stumbles into the coffee shop, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, with a school bag slung over his shoulder and the brightest smile he’s ever seen. He smiles at Wolfwood—as bright as the goddamn sun—and asks for the sweetest, most disgusting drink he’s ever heard of in his life.

    “Caramel Macchiato with six pumps of vanilla!”

    He doesn’t ask for the man’s name. Instead, he simply shakes his head, makes the drink, and writes ‘Blondie’ on the cup.

    Or: In another world, Vash and Wolfwood meet under the most normal circumstances ever. But there are forces at work that are anything but normal, threatening to tear them apart.
