Summary
As they approach, it's clear that the ley line disorder has changed since they last saw it. They edge towards it, examining the heavy bulb the blossom has grown, which bends the stalk into a convex curve, letting the bottom of the bulb brush the soil below. Because neither of them are stupid, they don't touch it, and Alhaitham is going through his mental list of Amurta and Spantamad researchers who might have enough expertise to weigh in on this, when the bulb opens by itself.

Summary
"That's an injured wild animal," Tighnari says flatly. Alhaitham of all people should appreciate the folly of trying to approach an apex predator when it's hurt.
"They're smart enough to know when someone is genuinely there to help and when they're not," Alhaitham explains slowly.
It reminds Tighnari of the morons who insist that wild animals will just feel their good vibes and not attack them, second only to the delusional fools who think they can take photos with them. Alhaitham is the last person Tighnari thought would spout such nonsense however, so he's stunned for the few seconds it takes Alhaitham to turn back to his task and walk right up to the tiger.

Alhaitham pouts, and then his eyes brighten.
"My ass isn't recovering," Alhaitham announces proudly.
Wriothesley coughs. "We are not having sex in the hospital."

Summary
Wriothesley only meets his future husband for the first time on the day of their wedding.
He's heard all sorts of things about him, so it's not as if he's going into it completely blind. It's hard to get the measure of someone you've never met however, especially one from another country. But his Highness assured him that his fiancé would be a good match, politically and personally, so he's been cautiously optimistic, despite the array of rumours that have trickled through via his intelligence officers.

"I think it's behind your head," Alhaitham muses. "I can't reach it very well like this."
"Of course it is," Wriothesley sighs. "Anything I can do?"
Alhaitham stretches as best as he can around Wriothesley's upper body from where he is, but it's not enough reach. The man is too bulky.
