And Yuta really hates how she sounds right now, the self deprecating tone in her voice. It doesn't suit her at all. He wants to take away all her doubts in her heart, wants her to know that she's always beautiful in his eyes, wants to see her smile full of confidence.
Yuta might not know a lot of things but one thing he knows for sure is that he liked it a lot better when Maki was laughing even if that was at the cost of his bruised chin and ego.

"Are you even listening to what I'm saying?"
"Getou....senpai"
Yuji has to remind himself to keep on breathing, force his heart to rear back from beating erratically inside his ribs fearing it might just burst from the inordinate pressure building up while his eyes traces the familiar view infront of him. He is too lost in the how, and why for him to notice Getou senpai is now standing infront of him closing whatever miniscule gap they had in the beginning with worry etching lines on his face that never looked quite right in his eyes.
"We can go back if you're not feeling well. Satoru will understand or I can grab it tomorrow morning before we leave."
Before he knew it, the same hand wraps itself around his wrist as its owner gently tugs him through the crowd towards their hotel room.
"Lets return for now Yuji."
Yuji doesn't answer back.

“Call me Satoru.” Yuji could only look at Nobara brows furrowing in confusion and back at Satoru.
Not that Yuji had any problem with it but usually this privilege was only given to one’s pack mates or someone they intend to court. Yuji was none of those. Still if Satoru san wanted him to call him by his first name, then Yuji will do so.
“Then call me Yuji, Satoru san”
Maybe that’s why he asked him to call him by first name as well. It’s only fair. In a way, the alpha reminded him of gumi both uncaring of societal norms. Though Yuji notes both of them are quite different from each other. He wonders how gumi would’ve behaved around the eccentric white-haired alpha but stops as soon as he realises what he’s doing.

Summary
The two of them were once again alone together, their feet tangled together under the kotatsu and shoulders flushed together chasing warmth during the harsh winter storm. Yuji is suspiciously too red on his face to blame it on the cold, his hand moving automatically up to check his temperature but he's stopped midway–
"Getou senpai, I'm fine."
"Now are you?"
"Yes"
"Really? Cause to me you look this close to passing as an tomato." He brings his index and thumb close together emphasising his words.
Instead of answering him directly like he was used to, Yuji surprises him by facing away from him in an effort to hide his blushing face which now he is positively sure of and mutters something he doesn't quite catch.
"Yuji, I didn't catch what you just said. Repeat for me, will you?"
A solid second pass before Yuji turns back to him with his still blushing face and says loudly this time
"I want to give you something."
"Ehh?!"
