Summary
On the way home from a trip Lilia overhears a curious tale about a castle with a supposed 'sleeping beauty' resting within. Intrigued, he decides to investigate only to find an old enemy lying cursed within alongside a precious treasure. Maybe it was because he grew soft in age or perhaps he was too curious for his own good, Lilia decides to break the curse. Whether this fairytale had a happy ending or not, he was willing to see this through to its conclusion.

The Draconia prince could not hear his retainer's devastated and heartfelt words or said retainer's friend's loud but profuse apologies over the white sounds ringing in his ears as he sat lax in his armchair, he could not even hear the quivering remorse from his dear child of man. In his limp hands the prince cradled a sword centuries old but clearly beloved shown within its lustrous sheen catered with frequent care.

The shrill cries get louder as Lilia carefully slices through the curling vines—the magic in the air getting thicker with each cut he makes.
When the thorns finally sneak back into an opening, Lilia freezes.
Curled in the hollow where the stone has cracked to let the briars grow is a fawn.

Kalim and Jamil surrounded the bed where Silver sat, already ready to leave. A metal pole stood by the bedside, hooking a clear IV bag that extended down to Silver's arm and pinched into his forearm. Silver's head turned enough for him to witness two large tears roll down his son's face.
Then four, six, eight. They kept coming down.
Silver gets hit by a potion that makes him cry nonstop.
