I was just thinking one of the guys (preferably Ray if that's cool) is hesitant to enter the relationship because trusting one person is scary, but trusting five seems downright terrifying. Say he's sort of used to doing things on his own. The other five can be per-established or not, whichever works best. I don't know, I just like the idea of learning and building reliance.
