Will wasn’t sure how the question had come up, nor how he became the one on the receiving end of it. But now Mike, Lucas, and Dustin were staring at him expectantly, and he wasn’t sure he could find his way out of answering.
“I-what?” He shook himself out of his thoughts to focus on his friends.
Lucas sighed, “Just answer honestly Will, none of us will be offended I promise.”
“And you are asking this because?” Maybe stalling would annoy them enough that they would drop it altogether.
“We were arguing about which of us is the best boyfriend,” Mike offers like that explains everything.

Each second Mike fails to respond, Will grows increasingly worried.

After Henry takes his right eye, Will feels hopeless about his recovery. Tucked away in a bathroom at Hawkins Memorial Hospital, Mike tries his best to cheer Will up.
