Summary
The salt air and rolling waves soothe his senses, making him feel content amongst the rugged landscape of the ocean. He turns and ducks under the pier, where a collection of jagged rocks leads to a small alcove.
He's just about to pass the alcove when something catches his eye. He squints and leans forward, trying to peer at the weird lump on the other side of the rocks. The grey mist doesn’t help him, or his drunken haze, to make out what the fuck he’s looking at.
The blob is half pale and one half dark grey, it's... odd. A fish tangled up in trash?
Careful not to step in on the jagged black rock, he climbs up on the rocks to get a better look at the other side.
"What the fuck." he gasps.

"Sorry. Can’t—” A sharp, forced inhale interrupted Vessel's speech, “Can‘t calm down.” He looked so apologetic and leaned his face on one knee, sniffling, mouth open to breathe quietly. Vessel didn’t look at II, but somewhere on the floor as he kept firmly wiping his eyes, almost as if he was trying to push the tears back where they came from.

He hates how badly he loves that feeling in his chest, how his heart squeezes, how he gets overly sleepy when around them- how disgustingly pretty they are.
But he keeps his nails stuck in the palms of his hand, his tongue bit between his teeth, and his heart trapped away behind a cage, because he can't tell them. There's no way he could ever.
