It's the first hot day in months and likely the last before the cold winter season overtakes Elmville. Adaine wants nothing more than to have a good time with her friends, but her parents have this magical way of making her miserable in every way imaginable, even when they put zero effort into it to the point she would think it unintentional if she didn't know better. Suffice to say, everyone is having a lovely day at the river, and Adaine is stuck inside.
Luckily, her friends have a habit of caring Way too much and going Way too far to help her; they've commited worse crimes, whats a little breaking and entering?

Figs ears twitch at the loud creeaaak from the cheap door, the cold of the knob and the tile on her bare feet and the rest of the apartment chilling her despite (or maybe because of) her infernal blood.
“So. How do I look?” She does a half-hearted spin, the smile she makes feeling more like a grimace, but Gilear's eyes light up when he sees her in a way they so very rarely do. Surely that means she should just keep playing along, right?“Oh, Figueroth, you look simply wonderful! Why, it’s been so long since I’ve seen you in a dress,” he fawns, and Fig feels ants crawling on her skin, wringing her hands nervously. Her discomfort must show, because Gilears eyebrows get a little furrow between them, her heart rate picking up. Her palms are uncomfortably sweaty despite the cold hallway.
“How do you like it, Fig?”

Tango has weird dreams where he talks to this sheriff character, who insists, in turn, that he is the one dreaming. Which made no sense! The Sheriff was just a voice inside his head. Wasn't he...? Still, it all felt strangely familiar, and he couldn't put his finger on why.
