Summary
Dazai waits until he hears the shower turn on before he rolls onto his back, looking up at the gruesome crack in the Christmas-white ceiling. There goes his, admittedly strange, hypothesis. He doesn’t know why, but he feels disappointed, even though the chances of his theory proving true were already incredibly slim.
It isn’t long until Chuuya appears again, this time wearing comfortable sleeping clothes. He regards Dazai with annoyance and a little bit of uncertainty, combing his fingers through the wet hair sticking to his scalp. “Really? You haven’t moved at all in the past ten minutes?”
“I told you,” Dazai says. “My body hurts. I’ll be up all night.” Thinking he can’t humiliate himself any further, he continues, “It’s too bad about the kiss, then, don’t you think? If only there were some way to make me feel better.”

Or, Dazai and Chuuya are on a mission to Tokyo to hunt down a young ability user who can draw out and amplify hidden emotions by being in close proximity. Chuuya is affected, and Dazai realizes there's some things he can't hide, and some things he doesn't want to.

Dazai and Chuuya have actually kissed before, once, when they were 18, but both of them will deny this to their grave. This, as a matter of fact, being because neither one of them remembers a single bit of it. There was a lot of alcohol involved. A whole lot.
