Kara refused to make eye contact with Lena. She was humming to buy time to think of a plausible answer. Lena of course knew better. She softly but firmly gripped Kara's jaw to make her look her in the eyes. Blue locked onto green.
"Well- uh- well. I-I was just thinking."
"Out with it. I won't be mad."
"I was kinda sorta thinking that you didn't want to buy workout clothes for hiking, but this is physical activity that you literally don't need clothes for," Kara rushed out in a whisper.
