For James Buchanan Barnes, somehow trouble always finds a way to stick around.
In the aftermath of their latest disaster, Bucky finds himself dealing with more than just bruises and broken bones. Between leading the Thunderbolts, trying not to punch John Walker, and avoiding awkward eye contact with Sam Wilson, he’s starting to wonder if fighting supervillains might actually be the easy part.
But when two of their own go missing, and rumors of a new threat start circling, Bucky and Sam are forced to put their differences aside and figure out how to work together—again.
Bucky doesn’t know if he can still call Sam his friend. Sam doesn’t know if he can trust Bucky as a leader. But neither of them is prepared for the dark force hunting both of them down- one that threatens not just their fragile alliance but the lives of everyone caught in the crossfire.
