    He runs over, falling to his knees beside the stone. He finds that he has gone numb all over and he cannot find his voice. He stares at the pool that creeps toward him. He feels bile rise in his throat when the warm fluid reaches him and seeps into the fabric of his jeans. He finds that his vision is blurring due to tears and he's clawing at the stone, fingers red and bloody like the floor. He tries to find his voice but only bile comes up and he empties his stomach of what little he has inside. His throat burns and stings but he still screams, ignoring the pain and the smell and the warmth and wetness of everything around him.
