Summary
Castiel confesses, Dean capsizes from the weight of it, Castiel ‘moves on’ — though, not really.
“Cas,” he says again, taking a step forward, “we’d like you to stay. I’d like you to stay,” and with some strength that he’s not mustered up in awhile, he adds, “please.” It feels like he’s leapt off a cliff.
Cas, for his part, looks about as stunned as Dean feels over what he’s managed to express. He, likely as much as Dean, plausibly anticipated a much colder and detached parting. Like last time.
Well, fuck it, Dean’s not going to keep silent and brood like every goddamn time he felt something in his life. The world is falling apart, again, and they need each other.
“We’re better together,” Dean says quietly.

Based off of a fic AU prompt thing I came across. I altered it a little bit but the basic idea’s still there.
Basically: A Witch does a thing to Sam and he can see Cas’ wings but Dean can’t. Cas and Dean don’t know about Sam’s thing. Sam fangirls to Charlie about his findings. They fangirl together. Dean will eventually also gets the thing. Cas gets superflustered.

Summary
It’s not like Dean thought that this whole situation was bullshit, because it was. It was complete and utter horseshit. He had no idea what was waiting for them when they arrived. No idea who they were running to save. No details, nothing, notta, zilch. The hunter kept his eyes trained on the road, trying to think of all the possibilities that this might be. Angel business? Maybe. Demon problem? Possibly? Apocalypse #3? It could quite possibly be, given their luck. All he knew was that when Cas suddenly popped his feathery ass into the kitchen, scaring him shitless, looking like he was on the edge of an anxiety attack, that they had to go, and go right then.
He only wished he knew what he was getting into.
