They always start with his chest. The approach is humanesque and deeply curious. The shadow pinches and caresses him, lingering overlong on his ribcage. Something resembling a thumb, or perhaps a claw, dips into his navel.
He is twitching long before the shadow reaches his nethers.
After all, they have been doing this dance for weeks.
