Summary
Sequel to Crystal, Book 3 of the Warmth series.
After the events of Crystal, Team Voltron is left with more questions. Allura and Lance begin to wonder what they actually know about the Great War that ended with the Galra Empire's rise to power 10,000 years ago while Keith finally gets his hands on the juniberry plant so the Alteans can have their symbiotic partner back. But with Emperor Zarkon's prime directive being the capture of the Sentinel, Lance must either keep a low profile or he test his hand at politics. Too bad his first target is Prince Lotor who already has an unhealthy fascination with the Altean royalty.
Meanwhile, Hunk, Pidge, and Coran sift through the hard won information extracted from Sendak's memories and stumble on coordinates to a place in the middle of nowhere. Allura wants to investigate but Shiro has reservations. With that hanging over their heads, they start planning a meeting with the leader of the resistance on the waterworld Pollux.
Chapter 23 summary: In which the Altean siblings have a private conversation in public, Allura makes a decision, and Shiro curses.

Summary
The Castle is old. Malfunctions are to be expected. Air locks spontaneously opening, attacking food, false alarms in the middle of sex... Actually, Lance is sure that last one was Allura's doing. But the malfunctions seem to be increasing in frequency and magnitude, until more than one paladin begins to hear a voice they never wanted to hear again.
Lance ignore the slew of emotional problems and increasing number of malfunctions in favor of rebuilding his web of spies to aid his sister and Team Voltron's fight against Zarkon and the Galra Empire. Pity no one thought to mention constantly brushing small problems aside doesn't make them go away. They stay and fester and grow into a poison that devours the mind and soul from the inside out resulting in emotional outbursts that could spell the end to not one, but two paladins.
Meanwhile, Iverson is trying to juggle being a whistle blower and finding out the truth of what happened to two cadets who vanished on his watch. Even if it means breaking the law.
Chapter 41 summary: In which shrooms and Vulcans are trippy, Team Voltron gets the juniberry talk, and Allura finds out about Lance's side of the deal with Rolo and Nyma.

Summary
Lance stood in front of the door to Keith’s room, holding a tray with a covered dish of leftovers. Hunk had put it together specifically for Keith, so Lance knew at the very bare minimum it was edible if not actually incredibly tasty; and it didn’t smell as bad as what Coran had attempted to feed them for dinner. A month into this madness and Lance still wasn’t quite used to the cuisine.
The list of things he was willing to barter away for a decent cheeseburger was growing worryingly longer by the day.
