Summary
Trauma was supposed to be this straight-to-the-face blow, an unforgettable, life-shifting moment that came out of nowhere and made a wreckage out of someone's normalcy. But Reki didn't have a moment like that. No sudden loss, no flood, no near-death experience, just a normal life with a loving family and a stable hobby he loved. Some things happened, small things that drizzled throughout his life, but nothing serious, nothing as bad as Miya or Langa's experiences.
He was a happy kid and nothing in his life changed, so why was he suddenly feeling so... empty?Or: Reki diminishing own his emotions and wondering why he's sad.

This unwelcome plot twist had really thrown a wrench in Shadow Milk’s grand plans for vengeance. And to top it all off? Pure Vanilla was here too! To act saintly and get in his way and poke his nose into everything Shadow Milk was trying to hide. Oh joy! Surely nothing bad could happen!

He couldn’t just throw that all away! Centuries of building up a glorious reputation, a title that alone instilled terror into Crispia, all because some delusional light cookie that aimed to replace him thought he was misguided.
He’d be mocked, the talk of the town! Yours truly, THE Shadow Milk Cookie, reduced to nothing but gossip fodder.
He could see it now;
“Have you heard?” Cookies would whisper. “The great Master of Deceit has been placated by Pure Vanilla! How pathetic!”
Not to mention what the other Beasts would think. How disappointed they’d be that their friend, the one that had once been the strongest of them all, had fallen so easily to a few false promises.
“Poor darling…” Eternal Sugar would sigh, closing her eyes. “Tempted so easily by pretty lies!”
