Summary
Momo Ayase took four more hesitant steps up those stairs. All she was met with turning back was the occult magazine, abandoned on the ground, no four-eyed nerd in sight.
...She'd fucked up.
Ken Takakura, transversely, sat down at a desk littered with crumpled paper, listening to hushed whispers he was desperate to ignore.
OR
A different retelling of the prologue, one that explores more of inital Okarun's school life, his mental health, Momo's friends, the struggles she faces with her gun-trigger temper, and the school atmosphere before they were plagued by aliens and ghosts.

Summary
“I won’t kill you,” Anya let herself fall against the medical divider, feeling her strength slowly melting from her limbs. She set down the empty bottle she had been cradling, picking up another, unscrewing the cap, “If you want to die…I’m sorry, but you’ll have to find your own way.”
She wasn’t intending to be selfish, cruel, gracious, optimistic, or anything of the sort. Rather, it was a stain that had soaked so deeply into her skin that it had irreparably discoloured her insides. Worst of all, the stain had embedded itself so deeply in the fabric of her body that it had become a parasite inside of her. Helplessness in the face of her own anatomy.
OR
Anya's moments with Curly as she takes care of it herself. The explored narrative connection between the suffering and agency of Anya and post-crash Curly.

Summary
"I worry about the renewed frequency of those portals. Especially considering our numbers. We only have a few dozen knights, half lack adequate training, and the rest are still adjusting to fighting on still ground."
"You're the only one familiar with any part of this—and I know you're always here to
help, but what if there's a day you're in Skyloft—or Goddess-forbid you're wounded—" She paused, worry shifted to anguish for a sliver of a moment before a foreign calm and authority steeled her. It was impressive how much their journey had affected her. "I can't let anyone get hurt. We've been lucky with minor injuries so far, but should those gates multiply..." the gaze that had been torn from his own during her moment of anguish returned with a forlorn softness, "You can't be two places at once."——
Obligatory "how the chain met"!! with all the distrust, anxiety, angst, and family bonding you could ever want!

Summary
“Why are you so afraid to tell them, Hunter?"
“...You don’t get to know that.”
“Oh, I don’t?” a boisterous laugh made Hunter grind his teeth, “My, how…disrespectful you’ve managed to become in just a short time. Is that any way to talk to your uncle?”
Hunter remained silent, millions of apologies begging to be spoken, but remained locked behind his lips. This was his dream--his mind. If there was one place he could stand up to Belos, it was here.
“Well, if you won’t tell me, I suppose I’m forced to guess, hm... Perhaps it’s because you’ve thought about the fact that you… well, your not really you. A grimwalker is just a pathetic vision of the person that once was after all. What worth does an artificial copy really have?”
Another slew of thoughts raced through his head. Appropriate responses, those he would’ve given as the Golden Guard. Pushing them down, Hunter sputtered out an indignant: “I…I am me. I’m my own per-person. I know that.”
(A post s2 story about a grimwalker that can't quite survive in a world without magic... and a bunch of gooey trash that only speeds up the process.)
