so heartfelt and filling with stifled (and not so stifled) yearning
the dialogue is very much them and funny and sad and hopeful
the letter!!! the letter!!!! wowow!! ahh!! superb stuff >u<
my heartstrings were pulled and played like a fiddle by this fic
you gave us a snippet into post-war zukka's lives imbued it with the difficulties of young, queer, and politically-charged, relationships
I love that it wasn't a kiss at the end
the bittersweet tone and the tender footed stage in their relationship and the woeful unearthing of a past life (matsuo <33) set your ending up that it would be rushed or overstepping for a kiss-
instead you complete this fic wonderfully and in a heartfelt way:
a small act of defiance, or of pride in doing what generations before were imprisoned for, or of fearful and careful love slowly shying into the light of expressionI am slightly waffling and don't think I make sense ahaha
But anyways, author- many many many kudos and I hope it's alright if I share a link to this fic on tumblr? (@mira-arty)
I love the excellent and clean way you've written this and how, so well, it then carries each emotional moment across the page (...or screen XD)
