He bolts upright, because he’s a Crime Alley kid and staying in a nice house for a couple weeks isn’t going to dull years of self-preservation instincts.
At the window is a scrawny, backlit figure who Jason can recognize only by the sheer absurdity of a child climbing the outside of a building to reach Jason specifically.

He let a hint of a teasing smile slip through, feeling surprisingly warmed when Tim returned it with a faint upturning of his own lips."Jason just wants to deal with the idiot drug dealers who won't stay off his turf so he can go home and be sick in peace. He wasn't expecting a little bird to be trapped by said idiot drug dealers when he arrived.
