Remus froze at his words, his heart started beating faster, his mind overwhelmed by the sheer panic that enveloped him. He could not say yes.“No, have you?”
Liar, Remus thought instantly. Sirius knew it too, judging by the way his lips stretched in a thin line.

Hazel placed the camera on the floor, sighing deeply.
“I wanted to take pictures with you...” She murmured, fiddling with her bracelets, a sad little frown tugging at her lips. Dahlia wanted to bring that smile back.
“We don’t need to take pictures together to remember moments like this. We can live them instead.” She dared to take Hazel’s hand, intertwining their fingers.
It felt different from earlier— more stressful, more overwhelming... so much better.

The man hums. “A week from Sunday”, he says, now turning fully towards Sirius. “Funnily enough, I’m her best man, and I’m still missing a plus one.”
Sirius can feel his smile widening. “Oh, poor you. Can’t have that.” He throws his hair over his shoulder and sees the man’s eyes catch on his collar bone peeking out under the collar of his stretched out shirt. “If only there was a way I could help you.”
“Well, you could always offer to come with me”, the man says, voice soft and smooth like honey when he leans closer.
“Or you could just ask me.”

“Stuff ‘em.” Sirius gestured with the pistol. He had spent weeks learning how to use the fucking thing. Not because he particularly cared about Muggle weapons, but because his family cared so much.

Sirius and Remus raise Harry as their own. Maybe a punk rock wizard and his werewolf boyfriend don't particularly know how to raise a baby, but dammit they're going to try.

Summary
Bad things come in threes, right? By that logic, Harry's fourth year in Hogwarts should be a breeze—both for the students in the school, and their parents outside of it.
Unfortunately, between the Triwizard Tournament, new tensions within the student body, and these disappearances, it seems bad things come it in at least fours after all.
OR
Harry is selected to be the second Hogwarts Champion, but this is nowhere near as important as the new drama happening in Slytherin. Meanwhile, Tom just wants to enjoy his newfound love life, not deal with the dodgy behaviour of Barty Crouch, thanks.

Last year, all that business with the Philosopher's Stone and finding Voldemort living in a back of a professor's head and Dumbledore's obstacle course from hell, was definitely a fluke, everyone agrees. This year, everyone agrees, absolutely nothing can go wrong.
